The effectiveness of mobile groups in destroying drones has increased in 3-4 months: Ignat explained the reason

During another massive attack by Russia on kamikaze drones of Ukraine, mobile fire groups demonstrated the best results.

The speaker of the Air Force Yuriy Ignat announced this during the One News telethon.

He noted that the effectiveness of mobile fire groups has increased significantly over the past 3-4 months. Ignat noted that last year there were no such units equipped with appropriate weapons and instruments.

— This has now been corrected, because with experience comes an understanding of how to better and more effectively destroy the enemy. This is now being put into practice and helps save anti-aircraft guided missiles, which are in short supply for us, as well as aviation, — he emphasized.

In addition, the invaders’ raid was generally typical and did not differ much from the previous ones.

— Today there was a typical attack on the number of UAVs — 18 launched, 15 shot down by Defense Forces. Basically it all went to the Odessa region and plus to the Khmelnitsky region. Air defense was working, again mobile fire groups, which are showing better results, — told by Ignat.

According to the speaker of the Air Force, the Odessa region, port infrastructure, and Ukrainian grain are again worrying the invaders. He noted that the enemy strikes there after a certain pause, since “nothing has flown there for more than a month”.

— The attack is planned in advance, it is clear that they use different routes. Entry points into Ukrainian airspace — from the occupied territories or from Russian territory from the north — these are the Kursk and Bryansk regions. In the end, they are the same, in fact they do not change anything, entering this time from the south-eastern direction, this is Cape Chauda of the occupied Crimea, there is also the direction Primorsko-Akhtarsk. They enter the occupied part of the Zaporozhye region and from there fly off along different routes, — he said.

In addition, as Ignat noted, the route itself does not change much, “literally it can be 10-15 km left and right from the previous one”.

— It would seem not so much, but for a mobile fire group this is too large an area to react and shoot back, because the radius of heavy machine guns and man-portable air defense systems (MANPADS) is limited, — stated the speaker.

Recall that on the night of December 7, the Russian Federation again launched drones. Explosions were heard in the Khmelnitsky region.
