Russians were defeated while trying to cross the Seversky Donets River/BlueSauron
The losses of the Russian military during the crossing of the Seversky Donets in the Luhansk region are among the largest since the beginning of the war. Even in Russia they recognized that this was a wreck.
According to the Institute for the Study of War, during this failed operation for Russia, 485 Russian soldiers were killed or wounded and more than 80 pieces of equipment were destroyed.
Details of the special operation
On May 11, the Russian command sent about 550 servicemen of the 74th motorized rifle brigade of the 41st combined arms army to force the Donets River near Belogorivka in the east of the Luhansk region to encircle Ukrainian troops near Rubizhne.
However, the Ukrainian defenders have worked effectively: satellite images show that the artillery destroyed several Russian pontoon bridges and ravaged the dense concentration of Russian troops and equipment around the river.

News of casualties at the crossing in Belogorovka, even Russian bloggers began to discuss, it seems that this time propaganda and hiding losses did not help, because the Russians could not restrain themselves in criticism – they blame incompetent leadership.
The last straw that overwhelmed my patience was the events around Belogorovka, where by stupidity – I emphasize, by the stupidity of the Russian command – they burned at least one battalion tactical group, possibly two, – one of the Russian military experts is indignant.

If the estimates of Russian losses on the Seversky Donets are confirmed, this will be one of the largest deadly battles of the entire war.< /p>
Russian casualties in the war
- The Russian military continues to suffer colossal losses. According to the latest data, the Armed Forces of Ukraine liquidated 27,400 fighters. The Russians are also rapidly losing their equipment – 1220 tanks, 2958 armored vehicles and 42 units of special equipment have already been destroyed.
- The Ukrainian defenders destroyed most of the personnel of the 810th Brigade of the Black Sea Fleet. The losses of the enemy are so great that the invaders carry away soldiers from other units.
- According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the losses of Russia have reached such proportions that they do not have time to replenish the personnel of their troops, and therefore some of the units of the infidels are staffed only by 20% .
