Russians had a special relationship with representatives of Azov. They were more interested in the soldiers of the regiment, because they wanted to collect a lot of propaganda.
Therefore, they say, there was a difference between who you are – an Azovian or a marine. The defenders of Azovstal, who returned from captivity, spoke about this during a press conference.
Azovians were treated especially
According to the fighter Denis Chepurko with the call sign “Mango”, when the Russians heard the name “Azov” and the position, they immediately conducted more interrogations. Their goal was to collect propaganda.
They asked the National Guard guys if they had seen how the Azov people blew up houses or killed people. But all this was not there and the guys refused to say it. We said that we saw how Azov brought medicines, water and food to civilians,” Chepurko said.
According to the defender of Azovstal, Vladislav Zhavoronok, whose call sign is Wikipedia, during interrogations, the Azov people were treated worse and asked about command.
“Perhaps this is due to the fact that we are portrayed as criminals. They asked provocative questions, for example: “Why did you shoot at civilians,” the fighter emphasized.
Important! Wikipedia fighters, “Mango” and “Cherry” were severely injured and were under painkillers at a press conference on August 22.
How the defenders of Mariupol survived captivity
On August 22, the defenders of Mariupol, who returned from the captivity of the invaders, spoke at a press conference. They stressed that Russia never fulfills the agreements and does not follow the rules.
Vladislav Zhavoronok “Wikipedia” noted that the military did not know about the publicity that the Ukrainians had made regarding the defenders of Mariupol. the Russians tried to demoralize them.
“We in captivity did not know what they were saying about us. All we heard was that no one needed us, that we were forgotten. Our leadership and politicians forgot us and we are generally inconvenient for them,” the military man said.
Military Dmitry Usichenko with the call sign “Cherry” said that the captive resembles a vacuum. He only heard from the occupiers: “The president, the country and your people don't need you. You will be killed or something will happen.”
“They (the occupiers – Channel 24) always said that Ukraine does not adhere to the agreements. That they don’t want to change us. They always found the reason and the culprit. They will never say that they are to blame,” Dmitry added.
