The Czech Republic will transfer 300 thousand shells to Ukraine to provide “breathing space” at the front – Lipavsky

Ukraine will receive an additional 300 thousand shells from the Czech Republic, which will provide a so-called respite on the front line for several months.

Shells for Ukraine

This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, Jan Lipavsky. The first batch of ammunition will arrive in Ukraine in June 2024, the Czech Ministry of Defense reported.

— We have first-hand experience of 40 years as a satellite of Moscow, a country that was invaded by Russian tanks in 1968 to suppress the Prague Spring, — emphasized the head of the Czech Foreign Ministry.

Jan Lipavsky is convinced that the Czech Republic cannot simply watch as Ukraine is left without the necessary help. He noted that the world does not want to return to Soviet times.

Now watching

Recently, the Czech Ministry of Defense announced that the first batch of artillery shells purchased as part of the initiative will be transferred to Ukraine no later than June. In particular, we are talking about 155 mm caliber ammunition or Soviet 152 mm caliber shells.
