< p _ngcontent-sc136="" class="news-annotation">Mobilization continues in Ukraine. The government has provided for the possibility of extending the existing deferrals from military service.
We are talking about deferrals granted by decisions in March-April, which expire in September-October of this year. Yes, they can extend by two months.
Existing draft deferrals can be extended
The decision to extend the delay for up to two months can be taken by the Ministry of Economy only once.
The decision of the government allows to ensure the constant and efficient work of public authorities, local governments, enterprises and organizations, who are now working to win in the rear, the ministry said.
The government decision also provides that an extract from the order of the Ministry of Economy on deferment from conscription to a conscripted worker can be provided and endorsed by the enterprise, institution or organization where he works.< /p>
This rule is designed to reduce the burden on public authorities, which will free up resources to strengthen work in other areas.
Who can get a deferment from mobilization
Current legislation provides for the possibility of granting a deferment from conscription. It can be obtained by persons belonging to certain categories. To do this, you will need to book them, which is what the companies where they work do.
The booking procedure itself provides for the 24th Law of Ukraine “On mobilization preparation and mobilization”. It says that companies can book specialists at the workplace during martial law so that they do not fall into the wave of mobilization.
Just recently, the list of those who can be booked has expanded. And now it includes those working:
- in state authorities, local governments or other state structures (if necessary, ensure the functioning of these authorities themselves);
- at enterprises, institutions or organizations that have mobilization tasks or orders (in case these tasks or orders really need to be completed);
- at enterprises, institutions or organizations involved in the production of goods, performance of work or provision of defense services, which provide the needs of the Armed Forces;
- in companies critical to the functioning of the economy and the livelihoods of the population.
