The 13th meeting of the Core Group, which is working on the creation of a special tribunal to investigate the crime of Russia's aggression against Ukraine, took place in Brussels on Tuesday, February 4. It is indicated that there is significant progress in this process.

At the 13th meeting of the international Core Group of Senior Legal Experts, the legal foundations of the special tribunal were laid, in particular the key elements of its statute.

At a press conference following the meeting, Secretary General of the Council of Europe Alain Berset announced “significant progress” in the creation of the tribunal, “which will have a significant impact on the people of Ukraine over the next generations”.
