Cessation of the criminal activities of the company of the Russian oligarch
The Security Service of Ukraine exposed one of the enterprises in Transcarpathia in illegal mining and sale of valuable minerals. The thieves managed to cause damage to the state in the amount of 270 million hryvnias.
Andesite is a igneous volcanic rock, most of it is used in construction.
As the investigation found out, the deal was organized by a company owned by an Austrian concern. Its ultimate beneficiary is a Russian oligarch included in the NSDC sanctions list.
The company has expired all licenses for the extraction of andesite, but they continued to extract the mineral without control. Similarly, without any permits, they sold raw materials for local entrepreneurs.
The examination found that in total, the attackers illegally mined 113 thousand cubic meters of andesite. There is enough evidence to bring those involved to justice.
