The Committee supported the government bill No. 11256 on increasing excise taxes on fuel and No. 11090 about increasing excise taxes on cigarettes.

Increase in excise tax on fuel and tires
So, the document talks about establishing new levels of excise tax on tobacco products, taking into account the minimum level determined by Directive 2011/64/EU.

– The excise tax on cigarettes is tied to the euro, not the hryvnia. In 2025, the excise tax will increase by +23%, and then from 2016-2028 it will be +5%. This year there will be an increase only in the event of devaluation, the people’s deputy explains.
He noted that increasing the excise tax will increase budget revenues due to additional revenues from the excise tax on tobacco products in the amount of about 612 million UAH in 2025, in 2026 – 5 billion UAH, in 2027 – 9.3 billion UAH, in 2028 – 13 8 billion UAH.
