People's Deputy Kostenko said whether the Armed Forces of Ukraine will withdraw from Severodonetsk/Collage of Channel 24

Russian invaders continue to storm Severodonetsk. The situation is quite tense: shooting, artillery and tank battles continue in the city, but the Ukrainian military is holding its ground.

ATO veteran and people's deputy Roman Kostenko told Channel 24 about this. According to him, the command of the Armed Forces is carefully monitoring the situation. Now powerful Ukrainian special forces are gathered there, heroically resisting the Russian invaders.

Kostenko hopes that subsequently the assault of the Russians will be repulsed mainly with the help of artillery. Now everything happens literally because of the human resource. It's incredibly difficult. But in any case, the command keeps abreast of events.

It is really hard for the military

Roman Kostenko talked with his brothers who are now defending Severodonetsk. Some men say just never seen this. The Russians use artillery, aircraft, tanks, and small arms in the city.

It's hard to realize that all this destructive and deadly combination “works against you.” However, the Ukrainian defenders defend themselves heroically. Kostenko hopes that subsequently the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will take appropriate decisions that will help resolve this difficult situation.

I hope that the command senses this situation. And he will feel this moment when it will be necessary to either take the city or take the guys to other lines in order to save them for further actions, when we can fight back everything with artillery, and not hold it at the cost of human resources, Roman Kostenko emphasized.

< p> As the commander of a battalion “Freedom”, the captain of National guard of Ukraine Peter Kuzyk earlier told, the situation in Severodonetsk constantly changes. Street fighting continues. There are days when the Ukrainian military controls 40 to 50% of the city.

He added that the Russian invaders had destroyed all the bridges leading to Severodonetsk. However, the possibility of supplying weapons is still there. Now the city is in a semi-encirclement: there is a certain threat, but there is no order to retreat yet.

The Ukrainian military holds positions and tries, if possible, to push the invaders out of their borders in the city, which succeeds with variables success.
