Under the procedural leadership of the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office, a resident of Bakhmut was exposed for committing treason under martial law, the report says.
According to the investigation, in May 2022, a resident of Bakhmut, Donetsk Region, under martial law, voluntarily agreed to help the occupiers.
The man transmitted to the Russian invaders information about the location and movement of personnel and equipment of the Armed Forces via the Internet. The collaborator filmed the locations of the personnel of the National Guard of Ukraine on the territory of Bakhmut, Donetsk region.
In addition, the suspect put marks on electronic maps and informed the invaders about a missile hitting the Bakhmut civil infrastructure building.
Criminal proceedings were opened against the traitor under the second part of Article 111 “high treason.” If the man is found guilty in court, he is threatened with imprisonment for 15 years or life imprisonment with confiscation of property. So far, the suspect has been chosen as a measure of restraint in the form of detention without the possibility of bail.
The pre-trial investigation is carried out by the Main Directorate of the SBU in the Donetsk and Lugansk regions.
4 traitors were exposed at once in Nikolaev
A resident of Kherson became the initiator of the creation of a collaborative group. The husband hired four residents of Nikolaev and distributed separate roles between them. Among them were three women and one person.
One of the women collected information about the locations of the military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Subsequently, she handed it over to the organizer of the criminal gang. The suspect also rented an apartment for saboteurs in her own name.
The second woman collected and transmitted to the organizer of Kherson information about the places of deployment, movement, personnel and military equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The third suspect is on the phone found forwarded photographs of documents with the indicated personal data of 71 servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to the same organizer.
The husband was the fourth detainee. He collected information about the location of the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and indicated the coordinates of the deployment of Ukrainian defenders.
