SBU officials announced suspicion of high treason against a people's deputy. According to the agency, Oleg Voloshin, who was a member of the Opposition Platform for Life, acted in favor of Russia.
This is evidenced by the evidence that the SBU counterintelligence managed to collect. After their analysis, Oleg Voloshin was suspected of high treason.
What the investigation found out
According to the SBU, during 2020-2021 he acted in favor of the military-political leadership of Russia. His task was to conduct explosive activities against Ukraine.
Investigators emphasize that he deliberately manipulated the public opinion of Ukrainians. >And the people's choice did it in favor of the aggressor country. In addition, he provided distorted information about the political and social sphere of Ukraine. He voiced it during his speeches, as well as in interviews.
We remind you that he was among those who justified the creation of the so-called pseudo-republics of the “LPR” and “DPR” on the territory Ukraine.
By the way, the Office of the Prosecutor General noted that this is not the only thing for which they plan to hold Voloshin accountable. He is also suspected of having intentionally inflicted light bodily harm on an activist.
This and other activities of Voloshin prove that he deliberately acted to the detriment of the sovereignty, territorial integrity and inviolability, defense capability, state, economic and information security of Ukraine, the SBU notes.

David Arakhamia noted that the campaign to purify the Verkhovna Rada from deputies of banned parties continues.
As I have repeatedly said, the cleansing of the parliament from the deputies of the Opposition Platform for Life will be carried out exclusively in a legal, constitutional way. No chance of appeal,” he stressed.
Ex-deputies of the Yanukovych era were deprived of citizenship
Note that on the eve of Vladimir Zelensky, former officials of the Yanukovych era were deprived of citizenship. The list includes:
- ex-deputy prime minister, ex-secretary of the National Security and Defense Council and ex-chairman of the Presidential Administration Andriy Klyuyev;
- ex-minister of education and science Dmitry Tabachnik;
- Former Minister of Revenue and Duties Oleksandr Klymenko;
- Former Minister of Internal Affairs Vitaly Zakharchenko;
- Former SBU Chairman Oleksandr Yakymenko.
- Deputy of the Kharkiv Regional Council Nikita Shentsev, son of the former People's Deputy Dmitry Shentsev;
- Alexander Gorbylev, member of the board of the State Aircraft Building Concern “Aviation of Ukraine” during the premiership of Yanukovych ;
- Deputy of the Odessa City Council from the Opposition Platform for Life Viktar Baransky;
- Andriy Klyuev’s son Bogdan.
