It is no coincidence that in November 2022, Belousov was appointed to the position of chairman of the Russian-Chinese investment commission, which was responsible for attracting Chinese funds to Russia during the full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

It was also Belousov who was responsible for ensuring the trade turnover that exists today between Russia and China. We are talking about 240 billion dollars. He oversaw this entire process regarding economics and money.

There are many analytics regarding how Belousov will ensure the development of the Russian military-industrial complex. There is a question about where all the components, funds, investments and support for this industry will come from. Russia has not spent a single day of a full-scale war without Chinese help, said the president of the public organization.

Belousov’s appointment: the main thing

  • On May 12, personnel changes took place in the Kremlin. Russian dictator Vladimir Putin has decided to dismiss Sergei Shoigu from his post as head of the Ministry of Defense. Now he will be Secretary of the Security Council instead of Nikolai Patrushev.
  • Putin appointed Andrei Belousov to the post of Defense Minister. Previously, he was an economic adviser to the so-called head of the Kremlin and first deputy prime minister. Bloomberg, citing an insider, wrote that Putin trusts Belousov and considers him honest and not corrupt.
  • Instead of Belousov, Denis Manturov became first deputy prime minister.
