Russian invaders do not stop shelling Kherson. The city center was again under attack by the invaders.
They fired at residential buildings. Yaroslav Yanushevich, head of the Kherson regional military administration, spoke about this.
Occupiers shelled Kherson
Yanushevich noted that the center of Kherson was again under attack by Russian invaders. There is not a single military facility nearby, only residential buildings and civilian infrastructure. Due to the attack by the Russians, a fire broke out, and unexploded ordnance remained, – said the chairman of the OVA.
Thanks to the prompt work of the rescuers, the fire was extinguished. Enemy shells have also been removed.
“Anna from Kherson lives in one of the houses that suffered from Russian shelling. In the house of a woman, the windows were shattered by the blast wave and fragments of shells. Specialists of the Kherson Regional Municipal Emergency Rescue Service will quickly block them. They will soon go to the scene to help the townspeople eliminate the consequences Russian attack,” Yanushevich added.
According to him, miraculously, there were no casualties among the civilians of Kherson.
Important about the Kherson region
- Invaders 15 January hit a high-rise building in Kherson, where the Red Cross works. In mid-December, the Russians were already shelling this building.
- The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that the Russians continue to terrorize the civilian population in the occupied part of the Kherson region. They're checking the contents of civilians' phones. Three people have already been detained and taken away in an unknown direction.
- In addition, 2,000 children whom the Russians took from the sanatoriums of the Kherson region to Crimea disappeared from sight in mid-December. Their fate is still unknown.
