A powerful earthquake of magnitude 6.8 hit southeastern Taiwan on September 18th. Due to the elements, the ceiling in the gym of one of the schools collapsed.

Journalist Siraj Noorani tweeted a video how the earthquake caught the kids in the gym. Children practiced on the badminton courts and froze for a few seconds, as if they were expecting danger.
Suddenly, the ceiling of the building began to collapse on those who were in the gym. The eerie footage shows how the wreckage instantly covered several people who were the first to try to escape from the impact.
The rest of the people who were located away from the place where the collapse of the ceiling began allegedly managed to escape. There are no reports of casualties or deaths as a result of the roof collapse of the gymnasium yet.

The journalist wrote in a message, that an earthquake of magnitude 7.2 occurred off the coast of Taiwan. Note that the US Geological Survey recorded an earthquake with a magnitude of 7.2 at a depth of 10 km.
