The death of a 33-year-old soldier of the Volyn Terrodefense Sergei Panasyuk on the border with Belarus is being investigated by the State Bureau of Investigation.
This was announced in a commentary on Channel 24 by the speaker of the DBR Olga Chekanova. The circumstances of the death of the soldier are still being established.
Employees of the TU DBR in Lviv are investigating the death of a serviceman on the Ukrainian-Belarusian border, the bureau said.
It is reported that criminal proceedings have been opened on the fact of violation of the rules of combat duty (Article 420 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
A number of examinations have been appointed, all the circumstances of the tragedy are being established.
