Minister of Health Viktor Lyashko said during a briefing that four medical buildings and one administrative building were damaged in Okhmatdyt from a Russian missile strike, and first of all, patients in need of life support equipment were evacuated.
According to him, most of the unique equipment was saved; it will be possible to accurately calculate the damage later. In addition, the minister informed that supplies of blood and its components from Okhmatdyt were transported to the Kiev City Blood Center.
Lyashko also said that the Ministry of Health is discussing with the ministries of health of European countries the need for medical evacuation. According to the general director of Okhmatdyt Vladimir Zhovnir, three buildings of the clinic were not damaged and continue to work.
Recall that on July 8, the Russians launched a massive attack on Ukraine — The Okhmatdyt children's hospital in Kyiv came under attack. As a result of the impact directly on the hospital building, two people were killed.
