The British government ordered an additional number of multi-purpose Martlet missiles to support its Armed Forces, part of which was allocated to Ukraine.

– Hundreds of LMMs were donated to Ukraine as they were used to repel the illegal Russian invasion that began in February 2022, the UK Defense Department said in a statement.

The £176 million order is intended to equip the British Army's existing and future short-range air defense systems, such as the Stormer combat vehicle.
They will also be used in the Royal Navy's Martlet naval anti-ship missile system, which is deployed from Wildcat helicopters.
Characteristics of Martlet missiles
Light Multi-Mission Missiles (LMMs) are noted to weigh only 13 kg each and provide precision protection against threats such as drones, helicopters, aircraft and small, fast naval targets.
The lightweight multi-role guided missile Martlet was created for the needs of the UK military by Thales Air Defense.
LMM is designed to provide a single family of weapons that can be used in a variety of modes.
