Russians May 7 bombed a school in the village of Belogorivka in the Luhansk region. Local people were hiding there.

The head of the Luhansk region, Sergei Gaidai, said that the school simply collapsed from the impact. About 60 people died.

What the school looks like on satellite images

Satellite photos were taken by the American company Planet Labs PBC. On them you can see that Russian invaders simply razed the school to the ground by releasing a bomb.

The Russians also hit another village in the Luhansk region, Shipilovo. There, in the basement of a two-story house, local people also hid. 11 people had a chance to be saved, as noted by the head of the OVA Sergei Gaidai. However, they lost contact with them again because of the shelling of the Russian invaders. Their fate remains unknown.

What is known about the strike on the school in Belogorovka

According to him, the blow was aimed precisely at the school. After all, the Russians on the eve of May 9 forgot about the slogan “peace for everyone.” He assured that Ukraine and the world would remind him of this.
  • Sergei Gaidai, on the other hand, reported the day after the strike that fighting was continuing in the village and around. They are very heavy, shelling is also constant. Therefore, until now, it was impossible to dismantle the rubble of the school. Thus, there are less and less chances to help those who could survive.
  • In general, the situation in the Luhansk region is very difficult. The Russians are hitting the region just ruthlessly and almost without interruption, leveling it to the ground. They also want to cut off the region and have already equipped a river crossing for this. They even stole equipment there.
