Return of the bodies of dead defenders to Ukraine
In particular, we are talking about 112 bodies of soldiers who fought in the Donetsk direction, 20 — from Lugansk, 5 — from Sumsky, 2 — from Zaporozhye and one from Kherson directions, reports the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War.
The dead were returned thanks to the interaction of Headquarters employees with the joint center of the SBU, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Secretariat of the Commissioner for Issues of Missing Persons under Special Circumstances, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the State Emergency Service and other representatives of the security and defense sector structures, as well as with the assistance International Committee of the Red Cross.

Forensic experts must first identify the dead, and then the repatriated bodies and remains will be given to families for a dignified burial.
