The Russian military continues to kill Ukrainian civilians. In particular, on May 17, as a result of enemy shelling, 7 residents of Donbass were killed.
In total, since the beginning of the war, the Russians have killed 382 civilians in the Donetsk region. Another 1,096 people were injured.

Head of the Donetsk OVA Pavel Kirilenko said that Russia continues to kill civilians in Ukraine. On May 17, infidels killed 7 civilians of Donbass:
- 2 – in Bakhmutsky,
- 2 – in Bakhmut,
- 1 – in Avdiivka,< /li>
- 1 – in Drobyshevo,
- 1 – in Soledar.
6 more people were injured. In addition, in Bakhmut, 9 civilians wounded in the Lugansk region received medical assistance.
It is currently impossible to establish the exact number of victims in Mariupol and Volnovakha. Every war criminal will be punished!, Kirilenko concluded.

The situation in the East: in brief

As a result of the shelling, 6 people were killed, and 12 more were injured.
- The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine noted that Russian troops are shelling the Donetsk region with the entire range of weapons. The plans of the enemy include the depletion of the Ukrainian military. In addition, the invaders are planning to resume the offensive in the Slavyansk direction.
- The Donetsk OVA added that the Ukrainian defenders have entrenched themselves on the lines where the enemy will definitely not pass. In general, the situation in the region is complex and tense.
