After the destruction of the Moskva missile cruiser, Ukraine got rid of the problem of the Russian Black Sea Fleet in the war. All attempts by Russians to restore influence in the Black Sea have failed.

The destruction of the flagship of the Russian Black Sea Fleet and the base of infidels on Zmeiny Island affected the combat capabilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the situation in the Black Sea region. This Channel 24 was told by military expert Pavel Narozhny.

The expert noted that the Russian Black Sea Fleet is a large complex, which consists of different ships, but the successful actions of the defense forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine made it impossible participation in the war.

Today they do not have a “long arm”: they cannot use aircraft normally, and it is much more difficult for them to carry out rocket attacks from ships. We can say that the Black Sea Fleet was successfully “blown away”, – the expert explained.

The reason for this, in his opinion, is the greatest success that Ukraine has achieved at sea – the destruction of the Moskva missile cruiser.

< p>He served as a huge air defense base. It stood near Serpent's Island and covered almost the entire Black Sea. Our aviation could not operate, but theirs could. After we sank the cruiser Moskva, they tried to build an air defense base on Zmeinoye to control the coast. After that, we also destroyed it,” Narozhny said.

According to him, after that, the Russian Black Sea Fleet could no longer influence military operations.

The struggle for the Black Sea: what is known

  • Since the beginning of open Russian aggression, the Kremlin has been trying to seize the initiative in the Northern Black Sea region by establishing control in key areas, which has led to the blockade of Ukrainian ports and the seizure of the strategically important Zmeiny Island.
  • In April, the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed the flagship of the Russian Black Sea Fleet, the missile cruiser Moskva. The Russian Defense Ministry said the ship sank after an accidental detonation and towing in a storm. The modernized ship served as an “umbrella” for the occupying forces, but after meeting with the Ukrainian “Neptunes” it successfully sank into the depths of the Black Sea.
  • On June 20, the Armed Forces of Ukraine probably attacked the “Boyko towers” that the infidels used as a springboard for the enemy Black Sea Fleet to work out electronic intelligence.
  • At the end of June, the Russians made a “gesture of goodwill” and fled in a panic from Snake Island. The Kremlin hoped to replace the flagship of the Russian Black Sea Fleet with an air defense base on the island. After a series of successful strikes by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the enemy had to justify his escape.
  • Subsequently, the extravaganza continued at the airbase of Russian infidels near Sakami. The British Ministry of Defense stated that the combat capability of the Russian Black Sea Fleet became even less after that.
