Fighting continues in the Donetsk region as Russian troops try to concentrate their efforts to capture most of Ukraine's territory. In particular, fighting continues on the approaches to the city of Toretsk, namely in Zalizne and Pivnichne.

The head of the Center for Countering Disinformation under the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Andriy Kovalenko, noted that sabotage and reconnaissance groups of Russian occupiers had previously attempted to enter Toretsk directly.
According to him, as of July 30 at 12:00, information about Russians entering the city of Toretsk in the Donetsk region is not true.
Shelling of Toretsk by Russian troops
How noted the spokesperson of the Donetsk region prosecutor's office Anastasia Medvedeva in a comment to Suspilne Donbas, Russian troops shelled the city of Toretsk and the village of Nikolaevka, as a result of which there are casualties.
— Russian troops shelled Toretsk with artillery. A 38-year-old resident was killed in a residential area. Nikolaevka was attacked by the Konstantinovskaya GVA, as a result of which a 53-year-old man was injured, — noted the prosecutor's office spokesperson.
Law enforcement officers have launched pre-trial investigations into the violation of the laws and customs of war (Article 438 of the current Criminal Code of Ukraine).
General Staff on the situation in the Toretsk direction
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine commented on the situation in the Toretsk direction in the evening report.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Russian troops, supported by attack and bomber aircraft, attacked the positions of Ukrainian defenders six times.
Currently, fighting continues near Pivnichne and New York, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine claims.
