On the morning of August 22, powerful explosions rocked the occupants' base “fifteen” on the outskirts of Donetsk. We show on the map where it is located and tell everything that is known.
Head of the Lugansk Police Department Serhiy Gaidai spoke about the fire at the enemy base, reportsChannel 24. He noted that they were talking about the destruction of the “tag” battalion, which had been actively participating in the war in the Luhansk region since 2014.

Sergey Gaidai, with his characteristic irony, joked that the enemy again decided to “carelessly smoke”. As a result, the invaders paid a heavy price both in manpower and equipment.< /p>
As the head of the OVA noted, as a result of the explosions and fire, the many 200s and 300s were recorded. In addition, equipment used by the enemy to attack both civilians and our military turned into scrap metal.
We add that the explosions themselves thundered about 04:00 . Moreover, they were very powerful, so they woke up almost half of the population of Donetsk. The townspeople then reported that shells were rising into the air and scattered around.
Where is the “tag” base
The enemy group was based near the hypermarket “Sigma Land”, previously there was “Auchan”. The supermarket itself is located in Makiivka, on the 114th kilometer of the highway Slavyansk – Donetsk – Mariupol.

Note that the appropriate location is confirmed by Russian media.They have already published a number of news, as well as videos, which highlight that the UAF attacked warehouses near the former “Ashanu”. Since this information has not yet been confirmed or refuted by the General Staff, we will confine ourselves to the version of Sergei Gaidai.
What is known about the “fifteen” group
First of all, it should be understood that this is an illegal armed formation of the enemy. It consisted mainly of Abkhazians. And it was created in 2014 specifically to participate in the war in the East of Ukraine. This group is part of the 100th motorized rifle brigade of the armed forces of the aggressor country.
In the beginning, the “tag” had a security function.Its fighters guarded a checkpoint on Stratonavtov Street not far from the Donetsk airport. And already in June 2015, they, along with other military men, tried to capture Maryinka. Then our defenders managed to repulse the attack of the opponents.
Note that in May 2018, it was possible to liquidate the commander of the “tag” battalion, Oleg Mamiev, nicknamed “Mamai”. They turned it into the “200th” during the fighting in the Avdiivka industrial zone.
The “fifteen” grouping will replenish the fresh losses of the enemy. In the meantime, we recall the achievements of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the South over the past day. There, our military managed to destroy:

- Hyacinth-S type self-propelled gun;
- Msta-S self-propelled howitzer ;
- 2 S-300 launchers;
