On May 26, Russian troops are shelling Kharkiv ruthlessly. The authorities ask people to stay in shelters.

Kharkiv Mayor Igor Terekhov recorded a video message in which he noted that today it is loud and dangerous in the city.

h3>Terekhov urged residents to stay in safe places: basements, shelters and metro stations. Separately, he noted that the movement of trains in the subway will not be stopped, but special sectors will be allocated where people can stay and wait out the bombing.

According to the mayor, people who will hide in the subway should take this into account and be careful.

Now it's more important to keep alive. Be careful, take care of yourself! – stressed the mayor.

The head of the Kharkov regional military administration, Oleg Sinegubov, also asked the residents of Kharkov and the region to stay in shelters. The invaders are shelling the regional center again.

The shelling of Kharkov: what is known

• On May 26, the Russian military shelled the center of Kharkov. According to eyewitnesses, shells fell in the Lesopark area. The sounds of explosions were also heard in Pavlovo Pole and the village of Zhukovskoye.
• At first, it was reported that 4 people were killed and 7 were injured as a result of the attack. However, the number of victims has increased. Already known about 5 dead and 10 injured, including a child.
• Natalya Popova, adviser to the head of the Kharkiv Regional Council, notes that these are only preliminary data, so she also asks people not to leave their shelters.

In addition, the invaders regularly shell other settlements in the Kharkiv region. For example, on May 24 they carried out rocket attacks on Lozovaya. This time there were no casualties or destruction. However, on May 25, Balakleya came under fire from the invaders. A 64-year-old peaceful man died. Seven more people, including a 9-year-old child, were wounded. On this day, the Russians from artillery continuously shelled the village of Udy in the Zolochiv district.

During the day on May 23, at least 5 people were injured as a result of Russian attacks in Kharkov. The Russians also shelled the cities of Merefa and Dergachi. Settlements in the Izyum and Lozovsky districts of the region suffered from enemy fire.

The hottest thing in the Kharkiv region is near Izyum. The invaders are trying to improve the tactical situation there and resume the attack on Slavyansk.
