According to preliminary results, the pro-Russian party of ex-Prime Minister Robert Fico Smer-SD is leading in the elections in Slovakia.

It is indicated that after counting more than 99% of votes, the Smer-SD party has 22.95%. Its leader Fico promised to stop military aid to Ukraine and strive for peace negotiations.

The pro-European party Progressive Slovakia, led by Michal Šimečko, scored 17.96%. Third place goes to Peter Pellegrini's Voice — 14.7%.
