The Ambassador to Turkey told what Ukraine will not agree to in the new grain agreement

Turkey hopes to resume operation of the Black Sea Grain Corridor. Ukraine demands that no controls or inspections of dry cargo ships departing from Ukrainian ports should be carried out.

The Ambassador of Ukraine to Turkey Vasily Bodnar stated this on the air of Unified News.

According to him, now participants in the grain initiative are discussing the creation of a safer route for ships.

Now watching

— The fact that we have created our own corridor encourages partners to create other routes. The ships pass through the territorial waters of Romania, Bulgaria and Turkey, and now we are talking about creating a safer route directly. The only thing that does not suit us is a return to the conditions that existed within the first grain corridor. There can be no control, no inspections of ships coming from Ukrainian ports. We will never agree to this,” Bodnar noted.

Currently insurance for such vessels is 1% and the rate may be reduced if certain agreements are reached.

According to Vasily Bodnar, negotiations — is part of preparations for the Food Security Conference to be held in Turkey at the end of August. Today, several dozen countries are ready to participate in the conference. Already at the end of the summit it will be clear which countries will want to participate in ensuring freedom of navigation.

— It all depends on what conditions Ukraine puts forward and what we agree to, — emphasized the ambassador.
