The 3rd Russian army corps is a very specific grouping. It is not only understaffed, but there is really a wild contingent.
About the 3rd Army Corps 24 channelssaid the military-political observer of the Information Resistance group Alexander Kovalenko. According to him, although the infidels have been trying since May to recruit more than 15.5 thousand soldiers there, they managed to lure only a little more than 12 thousand invaders.
The formation of 3 army corps is very interesting
With technology, as Kovalenko notes, the Russians had no problems. They almost immediately discovered about 700 units. There is not only old and reactivated equipment here, but rather modern ones like the T-90 and T-80BVM tanks, although they are not in such a large number.
It was not possible to recruit people . At first they tried to drive volunteers here, then they demanded a resource from private military companies. It all ended with the fact that “Putin's cook” and curator of the “Wagner” PVK, Yevgeny Prigozhin recruited “convicts” from prisons.
This army corps is a very toxic “cocktail” that is a threat even to itself. This is not only unprofessional, but also not entirely controlled contingent – “convicts”, mercenaries. There is also national diversity – Tuvans, Caucasians, Yakuts, – Kovalenko noted.
Use units from the 3rd Army Corps can be used in different ways. On the one hand, they can join existing Russian units in need of rotation for defense capabilities. If this happens, it is quite possible that some parts will be destroyed altogether.
Another option is exchange. Parts of the 3rd army corps of infidels can go to the front, while other units will go to restore their combat capability.
“Wagnerites” are now third-rate units
According to the Main Intelligence Directorate, they are now in the occupied territories of Ukraine there are from 4.5 to 5 thousand occupiers from the PKK “Wagner” . Interestingly, over the 6 months of a full-scale war, this grouping has significantly weakened.
Kovalenko recalls that before the invasion, this grouping had a fairly tough selection: no criminal past; age – up to 40 years; real combat experience is important, and not just military service. Invaders with a large number of completed contracts in the Russian army could also get there.
Current requirements : allow men 50+; you can just experience urgent service. And Prigozhin himself travels and recruits “convicts” in prisons. This indicates that they have serious problems with the human resource.
Today, the Wagner PVK is not some kind of elite. These are not even second-rate, but third-rate divisions. Of course, this does not reduce the threat, primarily to the civilian population. After all, if there are convicts in the unit, then the threat to civilians grows many times,” Kovalenko noted.
Recall, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the invaders began to redeploy certain units from the 3rd Army Corps to the Zaporozhye direction. There they want to resume offensive operations along the line of conflict in this region.
