Polish President Andrzej Duda visited the Ukrainian House in Davos and thanked for the warm welcome. The politician once again demonstrated solidarity with the Ukrainian people.

The politician tweeted that he was grateful to the Ukrainian House for the warm welcome. He said it was a difficult day. Recall that the war in Ukraine is the main topic of this forum.

It was a very busy day in Davos. Many meetings. Important conversations about Poland and our region. At the end of the visit, I visited the Ukrainian House. Thank you for the warm welcome,” Duda said.

Duda criticized Germany for weak support for Ukraine

On the sidelines of the Davos Forum, Andrzej Duda criticized Germany for breaking a promise to exchange tanks. As you know, the government in Berlin promised Poland Leopard tanks instead of the existing Polish tanks supplied to Ukraine.

By the way, the President of Poland recently visited Ukraine, where he assured of the full support of the Ukrainian people in their desire to join the EU.

Briefly about the forum in Davos

  • The war in Ukraine is the main topic of this year's forum. In particular, Davos 2022 could be another starting point for the “Marshall Plan” for Ukraine.
  • The Financial Times included the issue of post-war renewal of Ukraine in its 5 most important topics to follow at the Davos Forum 2022.< /li>
  • For the first time in 25 years, the forum is held without Russia. The aggressor country was not invited to the most prestigious economic event, moreover, the group was banned from attending the summit.

A shameful statement at the forum was made by former US Secretary of State Henry Kissinger. He said that Ukraine must give up part of the territories to Russia in order to achieve peace with Russia.

The statement came after Volodymyr Zelensky delivered a powerful speech at the opening of the summit, where he said that “brute force will rule again peace if Russia's invasion of Ukraine goes unanswered.”
