What assistance is provided for Ukrainians in Belgium
Ukrainian refugees can receive both one-time and monthly financial assistance in Belgium.
One-time social payment is received upon arrival and amounts to €310 per person.

The amount of monthly payments depends on the number of family members and their age. Refugees from Ukraine can receive:
- €1 100 – if a person lives alone;
- €750 – for each adult family member;
- from €100 to €200 – for children.
The total amount of cash assistance per family cannot exceed €1,560.
How to get benefits for refugees in Belgium
To receive financial assistance, displaced persons must fulfill a number of conditions:
- do not leave the country for more than 28 days per year, with individual trips abroad for several days being summed up;
- notify your social inspector about every departure from Belgium.
Important: If you violate these requirements, you may permanently lose your right to social assistance. In addition, you may be required to return previously paid funds.
In addition to one-time and monthly financial assistance, Ukrainian refugees in Belgium have the right to:
- health insurance;
- free language learning;
- legal employment;
- education of children in municipal schools and kindergartens.
