There are troops on the border with Russia in the Sumy region, they are constantly moving. However, there is no strike force there.

This was announced by the head of the Sumy OVA, Dmitry Zhivitsky.

There are more troops, sometimes less. They are relocating. But we are doing everything so that the Russian troops do not ride around our region like at home. Therefore, both we and the military are working to prevent the enemy from entering the Sumy region,” Zhyvitsky assured. In case there is a threat, the authorities of the region will inform the residents about it.

Sumy region returns to life

Now all services are working in the city to ensure the restoration of life in the city – energy, utilities and electricity .

The intra-regional connection, the work of enterprises, industries and the agricultural sector are also being restored. A sowing campaign has begun in the region to ensure food security for both the region and the entire country.

As of the morning of April 12, the Russian invaders lost about 19,900 soldiers in the war against Ukraine. At the same time, Ukrainian defenders neutralized 732 enemy tanks.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported about new losses of the enemy. The military body added that the actual amount of equipment cleared may differ from the published data.

Enemy losses from February 24 to April 12

In general, Russian troops lost:

• about 19,600 soldiers,
• 732 tanks,
• 1,946 armored fighting vehicles,
• 349 artillery systems,
• 111 multiple launch rocket systems,
• 63 units of air defense equipment,
• 157 aircraft,
• 140 helicopters,
• 1406 vehicles,
• 76 fuel tanks,
• 7 ships and boats,
• 124 unmanned aerial vehicles of the operational-tactical level,
• 25 units of special equipment,
• 4 launchers operational-tactical missile weapons.

The data is being specified. The calculation is complicated by the high intensity of hostilities, the General Staff adds.
