Near Bakhmut in the Donetsk region, heavy fighting continues for the Ukrainian troops in urban areas.
TSN war correspondent Andrey Tsaplienko told about this Channel 24. He also said that in the area of the village of Ivanovskoye, in the direction of Chasovoy Yar in the southwest of Bakhmut, Ukrainian defenders pushed back the Russians from some positions.
According to him, the enemy continues infantry tactics in this direction waves, which, in their opinion, is successful.
“We have already seen that the tactic of using an infinite number of soldiers is starting to slip,” the correspondent emphasized.

He noted that some US military analysts advise withdrawing troops from Bakhmut, saying that it is impossible to prepare for a large-scale counteroffensive by Ukrainian troops and keep the defense of Bakhmut.
But I do not see a contradiction here, because the Ukrainian defenders are quite exhausting the Russians in the Bakhmut area. And that is why the enemy is now unable to carry out effective offensive measures. And this is shown by their attempts to advance in several directions – Svatovo, Kremennaya, Avdeevka, Ugledar, – Andrey Tsaplienko believes.
According to him, the Russians are not advancing there, despite all the efforts they are making to the so-called their “big offensive”.
