On Monday, March 18, President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky held Headquarters and heard a report from Commander Sirsky on the situation in all directions of the front.
Zelensky spoke about this in his evening address.
– Kupyansk direction, our directions in the Donetsk region, southern directions. Analysis of dynamics of ammunition — Logistics in the army has become noticeably more efficient. There were reports from the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Strategic Industry on contracts for the supply of weapons and shells both from partner countries and from our own production. There was also a government report at Headquarters on the construction of fortifications — “all resources are secured,” he said.
The President noted that this year Ukraine should reach the maximum Ukrainian defense production since independence.

What weapons does Ukraine need
Zelensky also had a conversation with the elected president of Indonesia and met with US Senator from the Republican Party Lindsey Graham.
– We talked in particular about how important it is for freedom and democracy to win now, in this war, and here in Ukraine, otherwise Russian aggression and chaos will spread throughout to the world. I briefed the Senator on the situation on the battlefield, the basic needs of our Defense Forces. Quite obvious needs. Petriots, Atacams, F-16s. And, of course, artillery. “We discussed further interaction and support for Ukraine,” said the Ukrainian president.
Finally, Zelensky thanked the leadership of the European Union and all member states for the creation of a new Assistance Fund for Ukraine within the European Peace Fund of €5 billion, which will go to support our defense actions this year.
