The Armed Forces of Ukraine have strengthened their positions in the Kursk region and expanded the stabilized territory.
On August 17, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrsky reported this to the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.

According to Alexander Syrsky, as part of the operation in Kursk region, the positions of Ukrainian forces have been strengthened and the stabilized territory has been expanded.

Vladimir Zelensky thanked all the soldiers and commanders who take Russian military prisoners and thus bring closer the release of Ukrainian and civilian soldiers held in the Russian Federation.
