Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Alexander Syrsky, currently working in the hottest areas of the eastern front, reported on the current situation and future steps to stop the enemy's advance.
Syrsky – on the situation at the front
At the moment, notes Alexander Syrsky, the enemy does not take into account the fairly high level of losses and continues to break through in the direction of Pokrovsk.
Fierce fighting is taking place in Krasnogorovka, in the areas of Progress, Zalizny, Severny, Chasovy Yar.
Now watching
The occupiers do not give up attempts to capture Stelmakhovka, Makeevka, attack Ukrainian positions in Ivanovsky, Kleshchievka, and try to capture the floodplain islands of the left bank of the Dnieper River.
So, the commander-in-chief concludes, active combat operations of varying intensity are actually taking place along the entire front line.
Syrsky – about steps to stop the enemy
According to Alexander Syrsky, to stop a numerically superior enemy you need:
- effective fire destruction of the enemy’s main forces and his reserves at distant approaches;
- comprehensive defeat of the enemy in front of the front line;
- sustainable maintenance of boundaries and positions prepared from an engineering point of view;
- maximum effective use of all capabilities of weapons and ammunition (primarily combat drones, in which Ukraine has an advantage);
- mastering new methods of destroying enemy reconnaissance UAVs in conditions of a total shortage of short-range anti-aircraft missiles (only using electronic warfare equipment and fpv drones).
All these steps, Alexander Syrsky emphasizes, require high-quality training of all categories of military personnel to perform combat missions (in particular, mastery in the use of weapons and equipment, accurate fire, fire maneuvers, forces and means).
To maximize the use of combat capabilities of troops and minimize losses of Ukrainian defenders, the preparation of headquarters at all levels is also important.
Syrsky – about the preparation of reserves for participation in hostilities
Alexander Syrsky, having checked how the reserves are preparing to participate in hostilities, noted the maximum approach of training to real combat circumstances and the use of drones with drops and fpv drones to simulate enemy actions.
Such measures, says the commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, help teach Ukrainian soldiers to practically destroy this dangerous type of weapon.
– We should use our advantage in the use of combat drones and fpv drones to destroy enemy UAVs, the head notes.
In addition, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine met with each brigade commander leading the defense in the enemy’s main directions of action, discussed with them increasing the efficiency of operations, replenishing losses, providing ammunition, and solving other problematic issues.
The full-scale war in Ukraine has been going on for the 880th day.
