February 24, on the second anniversary of the full-scale war, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Alexander Syrsky addressed the Ukrainians.

Syrsky: address on the second anniversary of the great war

These two years, notes Alexander Syrsky, turned the ten-year war into the largest in Europe since the Second World War.

The Commander-in-Chief notes: when columns of thousands of Russian invaders moved from all directions to Ukraine, when thousands of missiles and bombs fell on our land – no one in the world believed that we would survive.

No one except the Ukrainian Defense Forces, who from the first minutes entered into battle with the enemy… Nobody believed, but Ukraine believed! She believed, took the fight and survived. “We chose weapons between weapons and evacuation,” noted the commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

After this, Alexander Syrsky recalls, there was the battle for Kiev and the escape of the invaders from the suburbs of the capital, the liberation of Zmeiny Island and the gradual cleansing of the Black Sea from Russian scrap metal, the Kharkov offensive operation and the liberation of Kherson.

There was also an attempt at a Ukrainian counter-offensive, which, unfortunately, due to objective circumstances, did not have the desired result.

“Today we continue to fight the enemy along the entire front line. We pay a high price for our freedom, so that every Ukrainian city or village does not become another Bucha, Bakhmut or Avdiivka. The best sons and daughters of the Ukrainian people are dying!

We bow our heads to those who gave the most valuable thing – their lives for Ukraine. We remember! We will take revenge! – promises the Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Alexander Syrsky thanked all Ukrainian defenders who are fighting off Russian attacks and destroying the enemy at these moments, as well as doctors, rescuers, volunteers and everyone who helps the Ukrainian Defense Forces bring victory closer.

Separately, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine expressed gratitude to his partners for their help:

– Every shell, every tank, every armored vehicle is, first of all, the saved life of a Ukrainian soldier. We are fighting for every meter of our land, but the most valuable thing we have is the life of a Ukrainian warrior.

Alexander Syrsky notes: believes that in the near future Ukraine will give an asymmetric response to the Russian occupier in the air.

There will be even more burning Russian planes – the state leadership is doing everything possible for this, notes the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

– And finally, about the most important thing. Today, more than ever, we need unity. I am convinced that our victory lies in unity. And she will certainly be. After all, light always conquers darkness! Glory to Ukraine! Glory to heroes! – Alexander Syrsky noted at the end of his address.

The full-scale war in Ukraine has been going on for the 731st day.
