Svitolina wins first match at Wimbledon 2025
Ukraine's top tennis player defeated the Hungarian tennis player with a score of 6:3, 6:1. As a result of the match, Svitolina advanced to the second round of the Wimbledon singles.

Before this, Svitolina and Bondar met in singles only once: in the second round of Roland Garros 2025, when the Ukrainian won in two sets.
In the next round of the competition at Wimbledon 2025, Svitolina will play against the winner of the match between the representative of France Varvara Gracheva and the “neutral” Alexandra Sasnovich.
It should be noted that Elina has started Wimbledon with a victory for the fifth time in a row. The last time she failed to get past the first round was in 2018, when she played against a representative of Germany.
Earlier we wrote that in the updated WTA ranking Svitolina rose to 13th position. There are currently four Ukrainians in the top hundred of the WTA ranking.
