Tennis player Elina Svitolina completed her performances in the singles of the Grand Slam tennis tournament — Wimbledon 2024.

At the start of the first set, the tennis players exchanged breaks. The eighth draw was decisive, in which Elina gave away to her opponent, and she served for the set in the next game.

In the second game, Rybakina managed to lead with a break 2:0. Elina tried to get even in the score, but in the seventh game she gave another serve to her opponent.

For reaching the final, Moscow native Rybakina, who changed her citizenship in 2018, will play with the representative of the Czech Republic, Barbora Krecikova. Croatian Donna Vekic and Italian Jasmine Paolini will play in the other match of the women's semi-final at Wimbledon.

Recall that at the stage of the 1/8 finals, Svitolina defeated the representative of China, Xin Yu Wang, in two sets with a score of 6:2, 6:1.

Thus, Elina’s best achievement at Wimbledon remains reaching the semifinals of a major in 2019 and 2023. A defeat in the quarterfinals will also drop the Ukrainian to 30th place in the WTA rankings, as she was unable to defend her points earned at last year's tournament.
