Law enforcement officers did not name the detainee, but earlier information appeared about SBU searches in Zhan Novoseltsev’s apartment.
The former journalist recruited seven accomplices, with whom he called for armed resistance against TCC employees and law enforcement officers — This was proven by linguistic examination. His group spread fake news about Ukrainian defenders.
The figures created a network of channels and pages on YouTube, Telegram and Facebook, where in total they gathered more than 600 thousand audience members to distribute propaganda content.
On these accounts on social networks, members of the criminal group published streams and messages in which they gave instructions on forceful methods of evading conscription.
The defendants created a website where they published personal data of the Ukrainian military, in particular, representatives of the TCC and law enforcement officers. They pretended to be journalists using the identities of unregistered publications, the SBU claims.
