< strong _ngcontent-sc87="">Russian occupiers again treacherously attacked the border area of the Sumy region. Border guards recorded 20 explosions.

The shelling was recorded at about 7:35. The invaders launched at least 20 shells from the territory of Russia.

According to the Ukrainian border guards, the ammunition flew in the direction of Boyaro-Lezhachev. Fortunately, no one was hurt.

At about 07:35, observers recorded about 20 explosions (arrivals) from Russian territory in the direction of Boyaro-Lezhachev. There are no losses among personnel and equipment, the message says.

The Russians regularly shell the Sumy region from their territory

For example, yesterday, May 28, the Russian invaders twice vilely attacked the Sumy region from aviation. They launched 9 unguided missiles, three of which hit two border settlements in the region. Shell fragments hit a kindergarten, a church and several private houses. It is known about one victim: at the time of the attack, the woman was simply in the yard.

Also at 12.00, the Russians fired mortars at Sumy region 5 times. The shells flew in the direction of the Middle Buda, Starye Virki and Znob-Trubichevskaya.

In recent weeks, the Russian invaders have intensified shelling of the Sumy region. Once, on May 16, they even tried to launch a sabotage and reconnaissance group. Then the Ukrainian border guards repulsed the attack. Unfortunately, one of the defenders Oleksandr Popovchenko was killed during the battle.

Earlier, Aleksey Arestovich, adviser to the head of the President's Office, suggested that there was a threat of a second offensive against the North of Ukraine. However, this can happen only under certain conditions, and then the Russians will have to involve the Belarusian army in the war.

Nevertheless, Arestovich is sure that the Russian occupiers will not risk launching a second offensive on North. They learned their lesson well – it's better not to joke with the inhabitants of the Sumy region.

They do not repeat this stupidity, because Sumy residents are like that – they learned it well in the previous period, – Arestovich explained.

Although the likelihood of a re-offensive is small, it still exists. However, the Ukrainian border guards are ready for such a situation.
