The other day, two very similar bloody incidents.
- April 18, the former vice-president of Gazprombank Vladislav Avaev, his wife and daughter were found dead in Moscow.
- April 19 in the Spanish resort of Lloret de -Mar, former top manager of Novatek Sergey Protosenya, his wife and daughter were found dead.
- According to the Russian and Spanish investigating authorities (of course, independently of each other), in both cases, the men killed their wives and daughters, and then committed suicide.
“Clean-up” or a coincidence?
According to Channel 24's source in the Russian media, these deaths “like a blueprint” led to panic in business circles< /strong>, primarily related to the Kremlin and energy resources. Moreover, earlier – on January 28 and February 25 – there were already two suicides of top managers of Gazprom in Russia. And these cases are also very similar to each other.
Russian businessmen reassure themselves and others by saying out loud that the epidemic of deaths is just a coincidence. But in a whisper there is a speech about possible “cleansing” of those who “know something and can tell”. And those businessmen who are already dead could tell a lot…
There are no former accountants
The Protoseni family died on April 19, but information about this was leaked to the media just two days later – on the 21st. The Telecinco TV channel reported that, according to preliminary data, the 55-year-old head of the family allegedly stabbed or killed his wife and daughter with an ax, and then hanged himself.
However, the Spanish police are also checking the version, whether it was < strong>“disguised” murder committed by other people. The neighbors of the Russians claim that they lived quietly, never made scandals or even disputes, and they almost never had guests.
Putin's “purse” accountant
Sergey Protosenya became known in Russian business circles back in 2002, when he became Novatek's chief accountant. After 13 years of faithful work, he was appointed deputy chairman of the board for economics and finance, and in addition, he received 0.0765% of the company's shares. The percentage, at first glance, is modest, but in fact it guaranteed millions in profits, because Novatek at that time was already the second largest seller of natural gas in Russia. Therefore, having already a solid fortune, in 2016 Protosenya left the company. To date, he has 400 million euros on his accounts. This money will now be inherited by the son of a businessman who did not go on vacation to Spain, but remained in French Bordeaux, where the family lived. It was he who telephoned the Spanish police and said that his relatives did not get in touch.

A Russian economic observer, on condition of anonymity, reported Channel 24 that recently Novatek (in 2021 ranked 8th in the ranking of the largest private companies in Russia according to Forbes) is preparing for the difficult tests that have fallen due to the war in Ukraine. The company is guaranteed to suffer serious losses, despite the fact that it has large preferences in Russia, because one of its largest shareholders (23.5%) is the billionaire Gennady Timchenko – “purse” and a great friend of Putin.
At the end of February, Timchenko was included in the sanctions list of the UK and the EU. In order to take Novatek out of harm's way, on March 23, the businessman resigned from the company's board of directors. But the sanctions against Novatek, as well as the expansion of the gas embargo against Russia in general, are only a matter of time.

14 bullets for a wife
The tragedy on the eve of when ex-Vice President of Gazprombank Vladislav Avaev and his family died.
According to investigators, the businessman shot his wife and 13-year-old daughter from a pistol in the family apartment, and then shot himself. The murders took place around 22:00, the neighbors later admitted that they heard a lot of shots … But no one phoned the police.
Only in the morning, when Avaeva did not bring her daughter to school, did they start calling her and her husband on the phone. But no one took cell phones. Then the eldest daughter of the Avaevs came to the apartment and opened the front door with her key. What they saw shocked everyone! The girl lay in her bed, and the couple in the kitchen. All had gunshot wounds. And the woman – just 14! In addition, her legs were broken …
Investigators the very next day stated that the cause of the carnage was difficult family relationships. And informed sources “deciphered” what the security forces had in mind: as if the wife had a love affair with a former family driver, and she became pregnant from him. This was the reason for Avaev's nervous breakdown. The couple was in the process of divorcing, but the court case dragged on because of their minor daughter.
Business with a KGB player
It is worth noting that Avaev, before he became vice president in 2016 ” Gazprombank”, worked for a long time in security structures, in particular, in the State Duma of the Russian Federation. But surprisingly, the period from 2012 to 2016 falls out in his biography – it is not known what he was doing at that time.
But there is evidence that already while working at Gazprombank, he became a co-owner of the Carbonix company (78%), which was engaged in construction, and subsequently in the development of carbon technologies, in particular, the development of medical implants. His partner in this business was Anastasia Karneeva (has 10%), the daughter of the billionaire Nikolay Volobuev, who is now the deputy of the powerful state enterprise Rostec, and previously 39 years old (1975–2004 ) worked first in the KGB of the USSR, and then in the FSB of the Russian Federation.
A channel 24 source in Rosmedia notes that there were rumors that recently there were difficult relations between Avaev and Volobuev. And investigators should know about this, but for obvious reasons they are unlikely to “develop” such a version.

The death of two other well-known gas workers also raises many questions. The investigation officially admitted that they committed suicide. But two suicides (within a month!) of top managers of Gazprom, who were almost neighbors in the elite village of Leninskoye near St. Petersburg – isn't this alarming? And if you take into account the details …
On January 29, the corpse of 60-year-old Leonid Shulman, the head of the transport service of Gazprominvest, was found in his own three-story house.
Shulman was lying on the floor in the bathroom, next to him they found a knife and a posthumous a note in which the man confessed that he could no longer endure the pain in his leg. Previously, Shulman broke his leg and wore an Ilizarov apparatus for bone fusion.

Shulman is survived by an adult son and daughter. He divorced his wife in September 2021.
In Russian independent telegram channels, the death of a businessman was quite actively discussed. First of all, they noted such a moment: could the millionaire Shulman really not be able to afford to buy high-quality painkillers? -manager of “Gazprom” – 61-year-old Alexander Tyulakov – Deputy General Director of the Unified Settlement Center of the company for corporate security.
Tyulyakov was found hanged in a garage attached to the house. Nearby lay a posthumous note, the contents of which have not been disclosed so far. When the police and criminologists began to work there and draw up a report, three Gazprom jeeps arrived. One of the employees of the investigative committee of the Russian Federation in the Leningrad region described the following events as follows:
Strong guys said that they were Gazprom's security service, cordoned off the territory, and we and most of the police were taken out of the house.
The situation is absurd for a rule of law state, but typical for Russia. What the security forces of Gazprom did in the house is unknown. Were you looking for something, or did you cover your tracks?
