All winters in Ukraine are characterized by air temperatures that are above the norm. The director of the Ukrhydrometeorological center Mykola Kulbida told about this.
Severe frosts will be short-lived
It won't be a very cold winter. Such a probability for Ukraine is scanty. Frosty periods, perhaps even strong ones, are not excluded. But they will be short and will not affect the general period of winter,” Kulbida explained.
According to him, over the past 25 years, the average temperature in January-February in Ukraine has increased by 2-2.5 degrees. Accordingly, the number of days with a negative average daily temperature has decreased, and the duration of the winter period has decreased.
Note that residents of frontline settlements are urged to evacuate in order to safely survive the winter. After all, Russian shelling damaged pipes and the heating season in many cities and villages will not start.
What will the weather be like in Ukraine in autumn
Climatologist and employee of the Subbotin Institute of Geophysics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Svetlana Boychenko said that in Ukraine there is a tendency for the air temperature to rise in autumn. In particular, the thermometers will rise above the norm in September and November. In October – no change.
In addition, in November this year there may be more rain, and in September dry days will alternate with wet ones.
