As part of a joint operation by the SBU and the Main Intelligence Directorate, explosions occurred at the Akhtyubinsk military airfield, in the Astrakhan region of Russia, at a 500 kV electrical substation in the Rostov region, as well as at an oil refinery in Kalache-on-Don, in the Volgograd region.

During the drone attack on the Akhtyubinsk military airfield, Russian Telegram channels wrote about the operation of the Pantsir air defense system and a series of powerful explosions, but later this information was deleted.
As sources note, this indicates “a successful attack”, since Russian authorities are clearing the information space when important military targets are hit.

Explosions on the territory of the Russian Federation on July 9
Recall that on the night of July 9, 2024, explosions occurred in the Rostov region of the Russian Federation. Subsequently, it became known that the Russian region was attacked by attack drones. Local authorities reported that the air defense seemed to knock down everything, but after debris fell on the territory of the electrical substation, a fire started at two transformers.
As for the Volgograd region, an oil depot in Kalachi-on-Don, as well as a substation in the city of Frolovo, burned there on Tuesday night. According to the Russian regional governor, the Russian region was also attacked by attack drones.
In addition, on July 9, in the city of Kirovsk, Murmansk region, a fire occurred at a chemical plant. Thick black smoke accumulated over the plant territory.
