The situation on the left bank of the Kherson region
The Ukrainian Defense Forces carried out a series of successful operations on the left bank of the Dnieper River in the Kherson direction.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, soldiers carry out sabotage, raid and reconnaissance operations. Ukrainian fighters are finding ways to logistically supply ammunition and food to the invaders.
The General Staff notes that at the same time they are reconnaissance of the locations of personnel, equipment, and artillery positions of the Russian Federation in order to destroy them with means of destruction. Heavy fighting continues there now.
Training of Ukrainian pilots on F-16 fighters
According to the US Department of Defense, the US has begun training Ukrainian pilots on F-16 fighters. Military personnel learn to operate and maintain aircraft in the United States and Europe.
At the same time, the US Department of Defense added that they were deciding the issue of providing Ukraine with spare parts for F-16 fighters.

Number of Ukrainians in captivity of the Russian Federation
According to the Ministry for Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine, more than 4.3 thousand Ukrainians were officially taken into Russian captivity. We are talking about both military personnel and civilians.
The Ministry of Reintegration notes that since the beginning of 2023, 422 million UAH have been paid to those released from Russian captivity, as well as to the families of prisoners of war, civilian hostages of the Russian Federation and political prisoners.
Funds to support Ukraine from the Netherlands
Dutch Defense Minister Kajsa Ollongren announced the allocation of an additional €2 billion in military assistance to Ukraine in 2024.
According to her, the money is part of a broader aid package that the Netherlands will provide to Ukraine next year. It will cover €102 million for reconstruction and humanitarian aid, which will be increased throughout the year if necessary.
Redirection of military tax to the state budget
Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky signed a law according to which taxes on military income will now be sent to the state budget.
According to the adopted law, from October 1 to December 31, 2023, military personal income tax will be divided in the proportion of 50% to 50%.
Among them: 13 billion UAH – to the State Service for Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine for drones, another 13 billion UAH – to the Ministry of Defense for the purchase of artillery systems.
Shutdown of the country due to the takeoff of the MiG-31
In Ukraine they want to find a solution so that the takeoffs of Russian MiG-31 fighters, which are carriers of aeroballistic Daggers, do not paralyze the country for hours.
President Vladimir Zelensky gave the corresponding instructions to the Ministry of Defense, the General Staff and the Cabinet of Ministers. According to the head of state, the level of air defense and preparedness for missile threats makes it possible to modernize the response – without stopping.
