KAB attack on the Kharkov region
On the morning of July 11, Russian troops shelled the village of Glushkovka in the Kharkov region with guided bombs, as a result of which four people were injured, the OVA reported.
The occupiers attacked an agricultural enterprise in the Kupyansky district. Cattle and workers were injured there, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine noted.
Among them — men aged 43, 43, 44, 63 years old, one of whom is in serious condition.
In an open space, dry straw broke out over an area of 150 square meters. m.
Under the threat of repeated shelling, rescuers and doctors of the State Emergency Service eliminated the consequences of the Russian attack. The fire was extinguished.
Drowned near Tisa
The body of a man was found 30 meters from the Ukrainian coast of Tisa, the State Border Service reported.
According to the State Border Guard Service, a person without signs of life was noticed by border guards of the Mukachevo detachment while monitoring a compliance section on the border with Romania.
This is said to be the 16th drowning since the beginning of the year while attempting to cross a river at the border.
NATO Summit
The NATO summit, which lasted from July 9-11, ended in Washington. The Ukrainian side held many meetings with allied countries, which provided new military and humanitarian assistance.
In particular, during the NATO summit, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky and Romanian President Klaus Iohannis signed a bilateral security agreement. The Ukrainian Armed Forces will receive another Patriot air defense system from Romania.
Luxembourg will provide Ukraine with €80 million in defense assistance and training in the cyber domain.
At the same time, the Netherlands announced the provision of €300 million for armament for F-16 fighters so that the Ukrainian Armed Forces could better defend the skies. The country will also help in the development of the defense industry and the training of Ukrainian pilots.
Germany announced the allocation of additional air defense systems for Ukraine and assistance in the fight against Russian drones.
The UK has expanded military assistance to Ukraine, in particular by authorizing the use of Storm Shadow missiles to attack military targets in the Russian Federation.
Slovakia will have joint projects with Ukraine in the field of energy, border infrastructure, and humanitarian cooperation. The country will also support Ukraine on its path to membership in the European Union.
The Czech Republic will provide the Defence Forces with the first batch of ammunition and will support Ukraine within the framework of the Council — NATO.
Canada to provide Ukraine with new $500 million military aid package, expand pilot training missions.
Ban on sale of electronic cigarettes
Ukraine has banned the sale of flavored cigarettes, roll-your-own tobacco, electronic cigarettes and liquids for them since July 11.
Now all tobacco product packaging for smoking must carry combined health warnings.
Bill to abolish daylight saving time
In the Verkhovna Rada during the upcoming plenary week, people's MPs plan to consider the bill on abolishing summer time in Ukraine in the second reading.
People's Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak noted that we are talking about bill No. 4201, initiated by the head of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk. In his opinion, Ukraine should remain on winter time.
Fire in Rouen Cathedral in France
On the afternoon of July 11, a fire broke out in Rouen Cathedral in France. Flames engulfed the spire of France's national heritage site, which is the fourth tallest Gothic cathedral in the world.
A security perimeter was installed near the building. 33 vehicles and 63 firefighters were deployed to extinguish the fire. The cause of the fire is currently unknown.
Financing by Denmark of the production of the Bogdan self-propelled guns
The Danish government is ready to finance the production of 18 Ukrainian Bogdan self-propelled artillery units, which performed well at the front.
The Danish Ministry of Defense noted that the first Bogdan self-propelled guns are planned to be delivered to the territory of Ukraine in the coming months.
Fire in Khimki near Moscow
On the afternoon of July 11, a large-scale fire broke out in Khimki near Moscow. A fire broke out in a workshop producing ceramic tiles.
According to the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, the fire area was 2 thousand square meters. m. However, social networks claim that it broke out over 5 thousand square meters. m.
As a result of a fire in the workshop, part of the roof collapsed. Rescuers are trying to remove gas cylinders from the building, which was engulfed in fire. It is already known that we managed to remove 10 out of 30 cylinders.
