Ukraine began naming streets after Boris Johnson/Office of the President
Ukrainian streets are being renamed in honor of British Prime Minister Boris Johnson. This has already been done in several regions.
In Vasilkovo, a new embankment on the Stugna River was named after Johnson
Why this decision was made
City Mayor Natalya Balansinovich recalled that it was Johnson who was the first among European leaders to decide to provide full-scale military assistance to Ukraine. He supported the desire of our country, our people to defeat the Russian invader.
The embankment was opened on the day of the city, September 14th. Politikina published poignant photos from that day.

There will be a Johnson street in the Lviv region
A number of streets have been decided to de-Russify in the Solonki community near Lviv. Now they will be named after famous Ukrainians. One of them will be on Boris Johnson Street. What exactly – still think. The executive committee of the local village council made such a decision on May 3.
Proposals for renaming are also being discussed in Alexandria, Kirovograd and Odessa regions.
Johnson's speech in the Council
- British Prime Minister Boris Johnson addressed the Verkhovna Rada on May 3. He is confident that Ukraine will win the war with Russia.
- Johnson stressed that although the infidels left Bucha, Gostomel and Irpen, we still see traces of atrocities. The world will do everything to bring them to justice.
- According to the prime minister, Ukrainians' love for the Motherland can stop tanks. This will remain in the memory of future generations and will be passed on to grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Recall that Johnson came to Kyiv on April 9 . He met with Vladimir Zelensky. They talked about the defense of aid to Ukraine.
By the way, on April 30, Zelensky phoned Johnson. The prime minister reaffirmed that the UK would contribute to Putin's defeat. London has indeed supported our state since the beginning of the Russian invasion. Foreign Minister Liz Truss noted that Putin must be held accountable for his actions.
