In the afternoon in Ukraine, gusts of 15-20 meters per second, in the highlands of the Carpathians 25-30 meters per second, a blizzard, – it is said in message.

Forecasters note that it will snow in the Carpathians during the day. Heavy rain and sleet expected in Transcarpathia.

Bad weather in Ukraine: latest news

  • On February 21, a storm warning and level 2 of danger were announced in Lviv and the region due to strong wind. The storm damaged 17 power lines. In this regard, more than 50 settlements were left without electricity.
  • On February 19, a blizzard broke out in the Carpathians on Mount Pip Ivan. There was up to 2 meters of snow.
  • On February 14, significant gusts of wind were observed in Kyiv. As weather forecasters warned, such weather conditions can lead to a deterioration in traffic on certain sections of roads and streets.
