Ukrainian goalkeeper of Portuguese Benfica Anatoliy Trubin was named the best player of the match against Bayern in the third round of the group stage at the FIFA Club World Cup.
In the Benfica-Bayern match, the Eagles defeated the Munich club with a score of 1:0.

The only goal in the Benfica – Bayern match was scored by Andreas Schjöldrup in the first half in the 13th minute. The Lisbon club managed to keep their goal shut, and Anatoly Trubin made four saves in the match.

Following the game, the Ukrainian was recognized as the best player of the match. Trubin also received a special award from FIFA after the match with Bayern.
“It was a good game against a very strong opponent. So I'm very happy, not just for myself, but for the whole team. We left everything on the field to win. You see, the weather is extremely hot. We did everything we could,” the goalkeeper said in an interview with DAZN.
Trubin admitted that he was very tired after the match and just wanted to rest, after which he would begin preparing for the next game.
The match against Bayern was Trubin's second clean sheet at the World Cup. In the second round, he kept Auckland City out of his goal.
Benfica will face Chelsea in the 1/8 finals of the 2025 Club World Cup. The match is scheduled for Saturday, June 28.
