Europe has enough diesel fuel for 40 days/From open sources
Due to the war that Russia unleashed against Ukraine, the European continent has a limited supply of diesel fuel. Western publications report that the fuel will last for about 40 days.
20% of all fuel in Europe was taken from Russian imports. However, now companies are massively refusing to cooperate with the occupiers and finance the killings of Ukrainians.
Due to supply restrictions, Europe may face a shortage of diesel fuel.
According to the International Energy Agency, by the end of January, European countries kept 247.4 million barrels of middle distillates. That's enough for 40 days – even if the region hasn't manufactured or purchased additional fuel.
The speed at which stocks are drawn down will depend on countries' success in replacing supplies now coming from Russia. It is important for the EU countries to find an alternative to Russian fuel as soon as possible.
The situation in the countries is different – if Finland and Denmark have enough private and public reserves for 6 months, then the UK, Germany and Norway will hold on to the reserves for just over 30 days . On average, European countries have reserves for 40 days.
