The charging station will become a backup power source for priority devices, such as a refrigerator, computer, telephone. Together with ICTV Facts you can find out how to calculate the power of an EcoFlow charging station.
Instructions for calculating the power of Ecoflow
Make a list of all the devices that you plan to connect to the charging station. For each appliance, find its wattage rating, which is usually listed in watts (W) on the label or in the instruction manual.
Some appliances, such as refrigerators, air conditioners and power tools, have a starting power that can be several times higher than the rated power. This information can also be found on the label or in the instructions.

For such devices, it is recommended to use the starting power value instead of the rated power.
Calculate the total power:
- Add the rated power of all appliances that you will power at the same time.
- Add to this amount the starting power of devices with high starting current.
- The resulting value will be the minimum required power of the charging station.
Example of calculating the power of a charging station
Suppose you need to power the following devices:
- Laptop (60 W)
- Telephone (10 W)
- LED lamp (10 W)
- Refrigerator (150 W, starting power 450 W)
Total power calculation:
60 W + 10 W + 10 W + 10 W + 150 W = 230 W
Add the starting power of the refrigerator: 230 W + 450 W = 680 W
The minimum required power of the charging station in this case is 680 W.
How to calculate EcoFlow power using a calculator
To avoid doing the calculations yourself, you can use a special calculator. This is a program that takes into account the approximate starting power of appliances such as refrigerators, air conditioners and microwave ovens.
If we enter our data into the calculator, then we get 530 W. In it, near the refrigerator you can see a yellow triangle. It states that the calculator uses an approximate starting power.
It is more accurate to use the number that corresponds to your household appliance. That is, manual calculations are more accurate.
