A state of emergency has been declared in the Saratov region: Engels is still burning powerfully Sofia Rozhik

On the night of January 14, Engels in the Saratov region was attacked by drones. After that, the situation there, it seems, became seriously complicated.

Local authorities have decided to declare a state of emergency in the region. This was reported by Channel 24 with reference to Russian media.

Engels has been attacked twice in the last week

The Kristall plant was attacked in Engels. This oil depot stored rare fuel for Tu-96 MS, which are used to bomb Ukraine.

Locals counted at least 12 explosions overnight.

Recall that before this, Engels burned for almost a week – on January 8, Ukrainian UAVs visited the plant for the first time.

Three tanks of 120 thousand cubic meters each burned there, another six were damaged. In total, this tank farm stored 800 thousand tons of fuel.

A large-scale fire at this oil depot was only extinguished on January 13, but all the “efforts” of Russian firefighters were crossed out by Ukrainian drones the next day.

The last attack was no less successful – the oil depot is still burning as of the evening of January 14.

A multi-day complex operation to reduce the capabilities of the enemy's strategic aviation has been completed. We are doing everything possible to ensure that the Engels fire brigades, who only just put out the flames after the previous strike, are not left without work in the increasingly difficult economic situation in Russia, the 14th BpAK regiment reported.
